frequently asked questions
Coaching is a structured conversation that helps you step back from everything that is going on and look at your situation more clearly.
Together, we explore what feels difficult, what is keeping you stuck, and what matters most to you right now. Rather than telling you what to do or giving advice, I help you think through your situation in a way that makes it easier to make decisions and move forward.
Coaching focuses on where you are now, where you want to go, and how to move forward.
Therapy often focuses on understanding, processing, and healing emotional difficulties, mental health concerns, or experiences from the past.
If at any point I feel that another type of support would be more appropriate for your situation, I will always discuss that with you openly.
Yes. Everything shared in our sessions is strictly confidential. I work in accordance with the ethical guidelines and code of conduct of the International Coaching Federation, which includes clear standards around confidentiality, client welfare, and professional conduct.
If you have specific questions about confidentiality before we begin, you are welcome to raise them during the discovery session.
A copy of the current ICF Code of Ethics is available on the ICF website.
You do not need to have everything figured out before reaching out. Most women come to coaching feeling unclear, stuck, or unsure about what they want next. That uncertainty is exactly where coaching starts.
What matters most is that you are willing to look honestly at your situation, take responsibility for your choices, and engage actively in the process. If you are open to thinking differently, exploring new perspectives, and taking action on the insights you gain, you are ready.
All sessions take place online via video call. Regular coaching sessions last 50 minutes.
Yes. Sessions are available in both English and Russian.
Sessions are usually scheduled once every 7 to 10 days. This rhythm gives you enough time to apply what came up in the session and notice what shifts before we meet again. Meeting too frequently can sometimes get in the way of that process.
It helps to arrive with a topic, question, situation, or decision you would like to work on. You do not need to prepare anything formal in advance.
Part of my role is helping you stay connected to what you said matters to you. I may ask about your progress, what helped, what got in the way, and what you want to do differently. This reflection is important for creating real and lasting change. At the same time, the actions you take between sessions remain your responsibility. Coaching supports your thinking. It does not manage your choices.
Coaching is always your choice. If at any point you feel you have what you need and would like to continue on your own, we can review your progress and discuss the best way to close our work together. Any unused sessions will be refunded.
Yes. If I feel that your situation falls outside the scope of coaching or outside the areas I work with, I will be honest about that and, where appropriate, recommend a different type of support.
Coaching also works best when there is trust and a good connection between coach and client, so both of us need to feel comfortable working together.
My work is specifically designed for women navigating life abroad, so the context of living in a country that is not your own is an important part of what we work with. If you are not currently living abroad but feel that the challenges I describe resonate with your situation, feel free to reach out and we can talk about whether working together makes sense.
