Frequently Asked Questions
The International Coaching Federation (ICF) defines coaching as “partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential.”
In my coaching practice, this means an open and collaborative conversation where you and I work as equals. We focus on your goals, explore your inner resources, and find practical ways to create meaningful results. I do not give advice or offer ready-made answers. Instead, I act as your thinking partner, creating a safe, confidential, and supportive space where you can reflect, gain clarity, and grow. When it feels helpful, I share my observations or reflections to help you see your situation from a new perspective and create meaningful change in your life and work.
As your coach, I help you understand your real needs, turn them into clear and achievable goals, and shift your mindset to make those goals possible. Throughout the process, I support you in staying focused and accountable as you take consistent action toward meaningful results.
Coaching with me is a structured and intentional dialogue based on the ethical standards and core competencies of the International Coaching Federation (ICF). My role is to guide you with curiosity and respect and help you build awareness, confidence, and the ability to make authentic choices that fit your life.
Our work begins with a discovery session, offered at half the price of a regular coaching session. This meeting includes a 30-minute coaching segment so you can experience what coaching feels like and decide whether it is right for you. It is also an opportunity for us to get to know each other, discuss what brings you to coaching, and explore how I can best support you.
If we decide to continue, our first full session focuses on defining your coaching goal, the main result you want to achieve through our work together. We create a thoughtful plan for the process, outline your development goals, and identify the areas and challenges that require attention.
All sessions are conducted online and usually include between four and twelve meetings, depending on your goals and chosen package. Each session offers time for reflection, insight, and meaningful action toward lasting results. You can always adjust your goals or complete the process when you feel ready to continue independently.
The length of the coaching process depends on your goals and needs. For smaller objectives, around four sessions are usually enough. For deeper or more significant goals, a series of twelve or more sessions is often recommended.
I occasionally offer single sessions to clients who have already completed a coaching program and want to check their progress or work through a specific topic. Every coaching journey is personalized, so we always find the rhythm and structure that work best for you.
Coaching and psychotherapy have different purposes. Coaching is future-focused and designed to help you achieve specific goals, develop new habits, and create positive changes in your life and work. It builds self-awareness, improves personal effectiveness, and supports both personal and professional growth.
Psychotherapy focuses on healing emotional wounds and processing past experiences. While therapy helps you understand and heal from the past, coaching helps you move forward and build the future you want. Coaching is not intended to address addictions, anxiety disorders, or other mental health conditions.
Each coaching session lasts about 50 minutes. Coaching is a focused and intensive process that requires attention and presence. This time allows you to stay engaged and finish each session with clarity and energy for your next steps.
That is completely fine. If you feel ready to continue independently, we will review your progress, celebrate your achievements, and close the process thoughtfully. My goal as a coach is to help you develop the clarity, confidence, and tools to move forward on your own. It is always a success when you no longer need my support.
Yes, a little preparation helps you make the most of our time together. Come to each session with a topic you want to explore and a clear idea of what you hope to achieve. If we are working in a long-term program, it is also useful to reflect on how your topic connects to your broader goals. Preparation helps you stay focused and ensures that every session moves you closer to the results you want.
The actions you take between sessions are an important part of your progress. I may ask how your plans went, what helped you move forward, and what challenges came up. Together, we reflect on what you learned and how you can support yourself more effectively next time.
The time between sessions is where real change begins to take shape, and this part of the process is your responsibility. What you do outside of our conversations determines how deeply the insights turn into results. My role is to help you stay aware, focused, and confident as you apply what we discuss and take consistent steps toward your goals.
Coaching is right for you if you are ready to make changes, even if you are not yet sure what those changes should look like. You do not need to have all the answers. What matters is your willingness to explore, reflect, and take small, meaningful steps forward.
Coaching works best when you are ready to change your situation or your life and take responsibility for that change. It invites you to look at your mindset, question familiar patterns, and act with greater awareness and intention. The discovery session is the perfect first step to experience what coaching feels like and see whether this process is right for you.
You can bring any topic that feels meaningful for your personal or professional growth. Together, we can work on creating a better sense of balance, building confidence, improving boundaries, clarifying your career direction, strengthening communication, or finding more fulfillment in everyday life.
For women in education, this often includes navigating career transitions, stepping into leadership roles, or planning the next stage of professional growth. Some clients focus on adjusting to life after moving to a new country, rebuilding confidence after burnout, or becoming more visible on social media and within their professional communities.
Each coaching process is unique. We focus on what matters most to you and what will bring the greatest positive change at this stage of your life and career.
Coaching can lead to different kinds of results, depending on your goals and readiness for change. Some clients make external changes such as switching jobs, moving abroad, starting new projects, or creating a healthier balance between work and life. Others notice deeper internal shifts such as a stronger sense of direction, self-trust, emotional stability, and the confidence to make authentic choices.
Coaching does not promise instant results because real change depends on your commitment and willingness to act. However, working with a coach helps you reach those results faster by keeping you focused, accountable, and supported throughout the process. My role is to help you expand your perspective, overcome inner barriers, and take consistent steps toward the life you want. When you are ready to do the work, coaching helps you grow with clarity, balance, and purpose.
